Picture Retake Day -- Oct 3
Principal's Message
We had our first fire drill this week. Students and staff exited the building in a timely manner. Continue to remind your son/daughter the importance of practicing safety drills.
After school clubs will be starting soon. Announcements will be made to advertise opportunities and club days and times will be posted in the S'more. Clubs typically run once a week for approximately an hour after school. Parents please pick up your son/daughter after the clubs end. There is not additional supervision for students.
Please, read about Parent Teacher conferences and the new format. We look forward to our parent evening and it is around the corner -- Oct 9th.

Attendance Matters!
Parent Teacher Conferences -- format has changed!
The first parent teacher conferences will be held on Wednesday October 9th.
From 4:30 - 6:00, we will have another Academic Parent Teacher Team Meeting (similar to the first part of open house). This will be a time for you to work closely with your student's classroom teachers to look at Math and Reading data, learn what can be done at home to help in those areas, and set reading and math goals for your student. You will also have time to have personalized conversations with the teacher about your student.
The second portion of the night will be from 6:00 - 8:00 and it will be the usual arena style conferences. ALL teachers will be set up at tables in the cafe and auxiliary gym and you can speak to any teachers you would like to see. We ask that these conferences be about 5 minutes in length.
