Preschool Fairy Tales

Cinderella

Dear, Parents/Guardians

In the up coming week, the preschool class will be focusing on the Fairy Tale story of Cinderella. We will be incorporating the curriculum of math, science, and social studies into the activities we do. For science, we are planning on making magical edible wands out of pretzel sticks, sugar cookies and frosting! Our math activity will include grouping the children's "glass slippers" or shoes into categories based on color and size. We will teaching the students the social studies aspect of Cinderella and all princess', by reading about castles, positive affects of a princess, and the role the princess plays! We will attach ideas that you and your child can do at home in preparation for this class. There will also be a "wish list" of materials that you may bring to help your child complete the activities to have fun!

Thank you, Ms. Sperduti & Ms. Clark

If there are an allergies to the recipe we plan to make, please inform us of any alterations to fit your child's needs.

IF YOU WANT TO BE A PRINCE
Tune: “If You’re Happy and You Know It”

If you want to be a prince, stand up tall.
If you want to be a prince, stand up tall.
If you want to be a prince,
If you want to be a prince,
If you want to be a prince, be kind to all.
Jean Warren

I’M A LITTLE PRINCESS
Tune: “I’m A Little Teapot”

I’m a little princess, see my crown.
I’m a little princess, see my gown.

When I am sad, I never wear a frown.
When I am happy, I dance around.

I’m a little princess because I share.
I’m a little princess because I care.

When I am sad, I never wear a frown.
When I am happy, I dance around.
