Sign-Up for Conferences

The parent sign-up window for PIck-A-Time Conferences is:

7:00 AM on 10/14 - 11:59 PM on 11/22



Parents are able to sign-up for conferences with classroom teachers, as well as with Mr. Mac, via Pick-A-Time. If you want make an appointment with a traveling teacher or specialist, please email them directly to arrange a conference.

Lost & Found

Our Lost & Found has accumulated an array of water bottles, jackets and hoodies. If your child is missing something, please have them check the Lost & Found for their belongings. It is located in the front lobby.

From the Nurse...

As the weather changes over the next few weeks and fall is in the air it also means that cold and flu season is just around the corner. Here is a reminder of the district's sick policy. Thank you for helping us keep our students and staff healthy!


Report all absences to your child's school. Please provide what your child's symptoms are most importantly if they have Fever, Cough and or Sore throat.

Keep a child home from school when:

• Your child has had a fever of 100 degrees F or more within the past 24 hours

• Your child has had vomiting or diarrhea within the past 24 hours

• Your child has an unexplained rash, sore or pink eyes with a discharge

• Your child has a persistent, productive cough

** Your child should be fever free for 24 hours without medication before returning to school

** If a bacterial infection has been diagnosed, your child MUST have 24 hours of antibiotics before returning to school

** If your child has not fully recovered or remained home for the recommended length of time, parents may be contacted and asked to take the child home.

BOOK FAIR:

The Follett Book Fair is underway! It continues through This Friday October 11. Please click the link for all specific information on hours. This is a PTO Fundraiser.

BOBCAT FUNDRAISER DINNER:

Mark your calendars! Our next Bobcat Fundraiser Dinner will be on Monday October 14th at the South Elgin Chipotle from 4:30-8pm. Please show the flyer when ordering. The PTO will get 33% of the proceeds!

BOOK CLUB:

Buy, Scan, Earn! Our first classroom Box Tops contest has started! Buy participating products from any retailer and scan your receipt on the new Box Top App to help earn cash for Bell Graham. Download the all new Box Top app on your phone and scan your receipt each time you shop. You can also turn in your clipped Box Tops over the next few weeks to your classroom teacher.


AFTER SCHOOL ENRICHMENT:

Plans for Bell-Graham’s February After School Enrichment program will be underway soon. Want to help with the planning? We’d love to add more members to our committee! Have ideas for classes? Have a skill you want to share? Please contact Heather Trask for more information.


PTO MEETING:

The next PTO Meeting will be on Tuesday October 15th at 1:30pm in the Teacher’s Lounge. If you missed September’s Meeting, please see the minutes here.

Attendance Line

  • Absences should be called in before 8:40 AM if your child will be absent for any portion of the day. The number is 331-228-2100 and has voicemail. You can call during the evening or overnight and leave a message. Please leave your child’s name, their teachers name and the reason why your child is out. If they are ill, please indicate their symptoms (headache, vomiting, etc.).

New Elementary School Day Update

Thank you to all parents who completed the form that provided us with feedback about the new elementary school day. The District was thrilled to have received over 900 responses. On September 23, parents and staff members who make up the Think Tank met to review research and have a discussion about innovative learning and what it looks like in District 303. In addition, they analyzed the feedback form responses. A summary of the first meeting is available on the District 303 website here. We encourage you to take a moment to read over the summary. We will provide you with additional summaries after subsequent meetings.
