RU Ghost Update
January 27, 2023
Dear RU Families,
We were sorry to cancel our forum. The focus of the forum was intended to be a review of the Course Catalog and collect feedback about what you would like to see offered. Please use this link to access our current Course Catalog, and this link to access a brief survey where you can share your thoughts around offerings.
We are hoping to finalize our Course Catalog for next year soon and look forward to sharing it, and discussing our course registration process at our forum in February.
Sincerely,
Lisa & Caty

RU Make Up Days
- February 20-22 will be school days for all RUHS students. Since folks may already have other plans locked in – RUHS admin will send out a survey to see if we will be able to reach the 50% attendance threshold on these days. If not, these days will be made up at the end of the year instead.
- March 7th will be a school day for all RUHS students.
- March 21st will be a full day for students.
- March 22nd will be a half day for students.
- April 24-26 will be school days for all RUHS students.
- Any remaining days will be made up at the end of the school year.
Please use this link to fill out this brief survey about your students' plans to attend school on our make up days. We must have at least 50% attendance for the day to count toward our annual total days in school.

RU STEAM and Innovation Center Happenings
The Manufacturing students were presented with a real world problem when RUHS’s maintenance staff approached them with need for a well-designed and thought out traffic cone template that would be sturdy, low cost, easily fabricated, and reusable for the newly purchased OSSD cones.
Using their knowledge of the engineering design cycle combined with their developing technical drawing and tools skills, the students set about designing and fabricating their ideas. This process culminated with students making their presentation, supported by their design thinking, to maintenance staff.
Thank you Bob, Wes, Shawn, and Joe for identifying this project need and being an authentic audience during the students' presentations!
