PSAT & National Merit Scholarship Program

We HIGHLY encourage juniors to participate in the PSAT-- Students must take the PSAT in their junior year to qualify for the prestigious National Merit Scholarship Program. In addition, College Board will provide students who take the PSAT with a free, individualized SAT study plan through Khan Academy tailored to their needs based on their PSAT results.

Please congratulate Cayleigh, Heather, Lance, Teja, Anna Lynne, Henry, and Will for their exceptional academic promise demonstrated by their outstanding performance on the 2020 Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT) offered in October 2020 and January 2021.

National Hispanic Heritage Month

Fall 2021 Probe College Tour

Student registration is now open for the Probe College Tour! Here's what you need to know. Your students must pre-register online. The Probe tour is going "touchless" with students required to pre-register for their chosen fair. Students should register at

They will immediately receive a QR code on the screen, and via email. Students will need the code either on their mobile phone or have a printed copy. A list of college exhibitors scheduled to appear at in-person fairs may be found at

U. S. Senate Youth Program

The United States Senate Youth Program sends two delegates from every state to spend a week in Washington, D.C., where they study our government firsthand. There is also a $10,000 college scholarship for each delegate.

Georgia's deadline for United States Senate Youth Program (USSYP) applications has been extended to October 29, 2021. The application is available here.

This year any high school junior or senior may apply to participate in the United States Senate Youth Program, provided they meet the criteria and secure signatures from their principal and school counselor. Please visit Georgia Department of Education for additional information.
