Agenda for the week
This week we will be introducing Revit. Revit is an AutoCAD product to help students design and model buildings and structures. By the end of the week, students will have created a shed in Revit. This software is very different from Inventor, so the students will have a learning curve, but once they get it they will enjoy it.
Revit is industry standard software used by most architects. We will be using Revit 2018. The students may download the software for free if their computer meets the requirements. Let me know if you need any help.
Recap
Please encourage your child to show you what they have learned. They should be able to tell you about architectural styles and elements, wall structures, and roofs. They should be able to identify these things all around them.
Extra credit
The students have been told about an extra credit opportunity. We studied wall structures, and I have told them if they create a miniature wall showing all the layers, they will receive extra credit. It is open all year, as I would like to have a model for future classes.
TSA (Technology Students Association)
TSA is still accepting applications. We also are looking for parents to work in the concession stand at any home football games. The shifts are from 7:00 - end of 2nd quarter and start of halftime until the end of the game. Anyone who works and signs in as TSA will contribute to our entry fees for competition. Thank you so much for considering!

Trick or Treat So Kids Can Eat
The second annual Trick or Treat So Kids Can Eat is under way with TSA. Your student does not have to be a member to participate, and they can trick or treat for canned goods. This is a fun way to give back to our community.
