Positive Connections
Building Expectations
Hoods & Hats
We ask that all hats are worn backwards and hoods are off. As you know, we have a camera system throughout the building and as students transition from class to class, this protocol allows us to easily identify students in the hallway as needed.
Cell Phones & AirPods (or wireless headphones)
We have asked that if students have AirPods &/or wireless headphones, they leave them in their backpack or pocket throughout the school day. Cell phones may be used during free time (15 minutes during lunch) &/or with adult permission only. Cell phones should not be out in hallways or during class time.
Please reach out if you have questions regarding this expectations. We have found that student focus increases if they understand that we are an educational system that promotes learning for all students. These expectations eliminate the distractions and increases positive interactions with the feeling of safety and inclusion throughout the school day.

**Attention 8th Grade Families
On Behalf of Stanwood High School, I would like to send a quick reminder about the Stanwood High School Class Fair on Monday (2/6) from 5:30 PM to 6:30 PM in the Stanwood High School Commons. This event is open to all students in grades 8-11 and their families. Students and families will have the opportunity to visit booths for each department at Stanwood HS and learn about the classes offered. This is great way to learn about your options, ask questions about the courses, and interact with staff before registration begins this month.
At 6:45 PM we will host an 8th Grade Family information session in the Performing Arts Center for families to learn about graduation requirements, registering for 9th grade, and more about Stanwood High School.
