Hot Lunch - Lucky 7 Catering
Dear Parents,
Lucky 7 Catering is pleased to announce that we will be providing hot lunches to our students at St. Francis Catholic School again this year. Our first lunch delivery will be Wednesday, August 18th.
We ask that where possible, parents order lunches by Sunday evening at 6PM for the entire upcoming week. But as always, we understand that life happens sometimes so orders may be placed as late as 6PM the evening before the next day’s lunch!
The menu and ordering information can be found at
www.lucky7catering.com/stfrancis
Again, thank you for letting us be a part of your school year!

Attention Parents of Beta Club Members
Dear Parents of our Current Beta Club Members,
I hope you have all been having a wonderful summer! I wanted to send a quick reminder to you and your child about some service opportunities. As I communicated to them at the end of the school year, the students are required to have 15 service hours logged by Sept. 1 in order to maintain membership in the SFCS chapter of the National Jr. Beta Club. Hopefully they have made an effort to do this over the summer but below are some opportunties that they can also take advantage of. Thank you for your support and I'm really looking forward to a great year of faith, service and leadership with this awesome group!
Blessings,
Tori Safe

Attention 7th & 8th Grade Parents Washington DC Trip Information
I am excited to announce that I will lead a group of St Francis Catholic School students on a WorldStrides Christian Discoveries program to Washington, D.C. where students will learn about history and government firsthand. Students will also gain fresh insight into the strong faith of our Founding Fathers and discover the role faith played in the foundation of America. This once-in-a-lifetime opportunity will inspire your child to think about the future, pursue goals, and create lifelong memories.
On this educational adventure, students will explore our nation's most important historical sites and experience incomparable learning moments like:
- Finding inspiration from the heroes honored at D.C.'s war memorials and Arlington National Cemetery
- Engaging in on-site devotions such as praying for our president outside of the White House
- Standing where Martin Luther King, Jr., delivered his “I Have a Dream” speech at the Lincoln Memorial
There will be a trip information meeting to discuss this wonderful opportunity on Thursday, September 9, 2021 at 6:00 PM in the gym. All parents and students are invited to attend this brief 30-minute meeting where I’ll share more information about WorldStrides, review some of the trip highlights, and explain some of the tools available to help pay for the trip. I strongly encourage you to attend this meeting. Please read through all the details of this letter including a sample itinerary on the back of this page, and visit www.worldstrides.com/signup for more details about WorldStrides and our groups trip. If you have any questions, you can contact me at (843)681-6501,or via MWeaver@sfcshhi.com.

Coach's Corner
New Girls’ Cross Country Coach…Cynthia Gudiatis!! Coach Gudaitis is a rising junior at Hilton Head Island High School and a current member of both the varsity cross country and track teams. While a student-athlete at SFCS, she represented the Wolves for (6) consecutive cross country seasons. She began running in 3rd grade, won her first race in 6th grade, and led her team through the seasons…ultimately claiming the individual championship at the district meet in 2018. Now at HHIHS, she has been named all-state in both Cross Country and Track for both her freshman and sophomore seasons. In April, she broke a 5-year old school record for the 2 mile event…running the race in 11:15. She has been a part of a team that has won the state championship and been runner-up while being named the team’s ”most valuable runner” for her dedication and consistency in both cross country and track. Last year, she came in 3rd place at the cross country state championship - the 5th female in Hilton Head history to medal at a state championship! She is happy to say that the St. Francis Athletics Program played an important role in making her the athlete she is today, and she is thrilled to have the opportunity to assist bright new runners on a similar path! Best of luck this season, Coach Gudaitis!
