Adopting Families

This year, each team is organizing different ways to support our families in need during the holidays. Ask your child what their team is doing, and please consider supporting this cause. Additionally, we have a big red box in our front lobby for toy donations that Violet Township is organizing. They are a resource that we will use to supplement what we are able to provide as a building.

Gloves, Hats, and Scarves for the Homeless

Lakeview Junior High is partnering with several other buildings in the district to collect necessary supplies for the homeless of the surrounding areas. Homelessness is particularly difficult during the holiday season. Besides the elements, many homeless people are without family and without hope that things can change.

All buildings participating in this outreach project have been assigned different items to collect. Lakeview will be collecting hats, scarves, and gloves. There will be a box in the lobby for donations beginning November 28 through December 16. On Sunday, December 18th, there will be an event in downtown Columbus to reach out to the homeless community, providing them supplies, food, services, and most importantly, relationships with those who can help. The event was very successful last year and we anticipate a greater impact on those in need this year!

Got a Pencil?

School supplies make great stocking stuffers. Consider re-stocking your child's school supplies, especially pencils this time of year. Teachers often make sure that they have extra pencils for their students, but this year more than ever, students are coming to classes unprepared. Teachers are having a hard time continuously supplying pencils for students each and every day.

Panther T-Shirts Make Great Gifts

The PTO still has Pather T-shirts available. If you are interested in purchasing a shirt, they are available at the school store which is open before school, after school and during all lunch periods 10:15-1:15. Shirts are $15 and are available in gray or black.
