The Major Land Features include: Ozark Plateau, Appalachian Mountains, Ohio River, Niagara Falls, Green Mountains, White Mountains, Adirondack Mountains, Blue Ridge Mountains, the Gulf of Mexico, Smoky Mountains, Mississippi River, and Lake Okeechobee.
States in southern U.S. include: Florida, Georgia, , North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, West Virginia, Alabama, Kentucky, Tennessee, Mississippi, and Arkansas. The population is pretty big.
During the Civil War is when the south became part of the U.S. For transportation they had trains, railroads, etc
