Pakistan and Bangladesh
The Pakistan and Bangladesh War of 1971 was fought so the people of Bangladesh could be free. The Pakistani military participated in mass murders of the Bangladesh people in the capitol of Dacca. Many Bangladesh people took refuge in neighboring India. Many families were separated during this time. Hindu male's were the most sought out group by the Pakistan's.
Many historians compare this war to what Hitler did to the Jewish in World War II. Husbands, fathers, and sons were murdered in front of their families. Women were raped by Pakistani soldiers. The Hindu people in Bangladesh were considered the lowest class and were sought out and killed. Those that were able to escape to India struggled to start a new life there.
