LECC WEEKLY TIGER CUB TALK
September 16, 2022
I hope this email finds you well! We found out last night that officially Loveland CSD has earned all 5-star ratings on our Ohio Schools Report Card! We are one of only 12 public school districts to receive the highest rating from the state of Ohio. What an exciting accomplishment and recognition of the students, families, and educators here at LCSD! If you would like to learn more about our all 5-star rating on the newly released Report Card, I have included more information below in this Tiger Talk. Congratulations, Loveland! It takes all of us! #beLOVEland
Looking into next week, our Kindergarten Tiger Cubs will participate in Measures of Academic Progress (MAP) Reading and Math testing. MAP testing is part of the LECC assessment plan to progress monitor three times a year our KG students' individual academic growth in the areas of Reading and Math. Our KG teachers use this data to inform instructional decisions within their classrooms to support individual students. Our KG Tiger Cubs have been practicing in preparation for this assessment on how to use their Chromebooks to log in, navigate the mouse on the screen, and use their headphones.
Our PS Tiger Cubs are still working on learning the routines and procedures here at LECC in their classrooms. They are exploring and being curious throughout the learning spaces, including the playground! Our teachers are collecting baseline data to ensure we have a firm understanding of where our PS Tiger Cubs are starting the year to help us make instructional decisions and monitor progress this school year. Yet in between the data collection is the playing, wondering, and learning! Their current unit has a special visitor: Pete the Cat!
Please check out the rest of this week's Tiger Cub Talk for helpful information from our LECC Team! It is a great day to be a LECC Tiger Cub!
Thank you!
