Wallace Weekly
December 7th - December 11th
Weekly Recap
Ten jam-packed, busy days ahead! Organization will be key in your meeting the deadlines placed before you. You are a critical part of our team.
I realize there have been a number of changes this year in RISD…FOCUS, IStation, updated curriculum guides, PBMAS monitoring forms/red folders, and the list goes on and on……
At Wallace, we are fortunate to have a phenomenal group of professionals committed to not only the academic growth of all students, but to their social development as well. We believe in you.
“Total teachers, we propose, are most likely to emerge, develop, and prosper in total schools, in schools which value, develop, and support the judgement and expertise of all their teachers in the common quest for improvement.” ~What’s Worth Fighting For In Your School? (Fullan, Hargreaves)
At Wallace, we are fortunate to have superb support systems in place through instructional content specialists, resource teachers, and ESL teachers. It takes a village with our diversity and wide range of needs. We have so much to share and so much to learn.
“Effective collaborations operate in the world of ideas, examining existing practices critically, seeking better alternatives and working hard together at bringing about improvements and assessing their worth.” ~What’s Worth Fighting For In Your School? (Fullan, Hargreaves)
At Wallace, we have a very difficult but very rewarding job…success for all students. The time you spend studying student history, performing detailed analysis on assessments, and planning instruction to fit each child’s needs matters. We work tirelessly.
At the end of the day, you must take care of yourself before you can take care of others. Work hard when you are at work and know that rest is on its way in 10 days.
“Balancing the work and the life is an important protection against burnout. It also leads to more interesting teachers and more interesting teaching.” ~What’s Worth Fighting For In Your School? (Fullan, Hargreaves)
We know it’s been an extremely busy past few weeks. We recognize your hard work and dedication. Thanks for all you do each and every day!
Debbie
