Acceptance is the ability to see that other people have a right to be their own unique person. That means they have a right to their own feelings, thoughts and opinions.
When you start accepting people for who they are, you stop looking for ways to change them.
Each teacher picks two Students of the Month based on who best exemplifies Gables' Word of the Month. Ask your student about
Acceptance - watch for opportunities to help them practice, and they might bring home a Student of the Month sign when December's students are chosen!
Columbus City Schools COVID-19 Vaccines for ages 5-11

The District will host the clinics at every elementary school during regular school hours to all eligible recipients age 5-11:
- December 13 -17 to administer first doses of the COVID-19 vaccine
- January 3 - 7 to administer the second dose of the COVID-19 vaccine
To get a COVID-19 vaccine for your child, parents must complete and return the COVID-19 consent form, no later than December 7. Consent forms can be completed electronically or by paper copy and returned to your school nurse.

Family Ambassador Online Office Hours
Still confused about Clever.com or not sure why we mention the Parent Portal so much? Drop in to new Zoom hours each week to ask Jeri Seabaugh, the Gables Family Ambassador. When school is in session, office hours will be:

Corner Captains (Still) Wanted
It's never too late to help. Several parents have expressed concern about the traffic, and only two of our seven volunteers are Gables parents. Our community is stepping up to help - let's show them we care, too! If you want to help but cannot donate time, please share this signup information with your other community networks, too.
Any community member (parent, neighbor, concerned Columbus citizen) can sign up. Columbus Public Health's Safe Routes to School is providing stand-out clothing.
