Dads’ Club March Madness!
We are organizing a March Madness Bracket Fundraiser to benefit the Dad's Club Tuition Fund. As a reminder, the Dad's Club was founded to help ensure students that have lost a parent can continue to receive a Catholic education at St. Eugene.
We are hosting a bracket through the ESPN Tournament Challenge. The cost is $20 per bracket. You can create as many as you want. You can submit a payment to the Dad's Club at paypal.me/cssedadsclub (you will need a paypal account to pay). If you don't have paypal, contact Bob Taylor at bob.taylor79@gmail.com to get payment arranged. Once you've paid, you will get our group information to join the Tournament Challenge. Fill out the bracket before the start of the first round of 64 begins on March 18th. The brackets are locked and cannot be edited once the tournament starts.
We are offering prizes too!
First place will receive $60 or 15% of the total entry fees collected (whichever is greater)
Second Place will receive $40 or 10%
Third place will receive $20 or 5%
All are welcome to participate, so please feel free to forward this to your friends and family. The more you enter, the larger prize will be so keep making those brackets!
St. Eugene Gala
This year’s St. Eugene Gala is going virtual! This event is our parish and school’s largest fundraising event! April 17th is just around the corner! Here are some ways to support and be involved with this year’s auction:
ATTEND: Invitations will be sent out in Mid-March. There will be an evite option so you can invite others to attend!
RAFFLE SALES: While we held onto last year’s raffle tickets, we still have more to sell! Students will bring home raffle tickets to sell! For every 10 tickets sold, their name goes into the pot for a drawing held right before the Gala. Top drawn name wins a Nintendo Switch, Top seller gets $100 cash and random drawn name for 3rs place gets $50 cash! The drawing will take place on April 17th, so all stubs, money and unsold tickets must be returned to the church/school office or classroom teacher by April 15th.
GRADE LEVEL BASKETS: Each grade level has a themed basket that is coordinated by the homeroom parent in coordination with the teachers. Parents can donate items, money and such to the basket to build a great auction item!
WINE: Donate bottles of wine for the wine pull. Please make sure the value of the wine is $25 or more! Bottles may be dropped off at the church office anytime during office hours.
AUCTION ITEMS: Do you have something that you can donate or know someone who can donate an item, event, or service to the auction? Please contact Heather McKinish (gala@steugenes.org or 405-642-4801) by March 25th. Examples are: Artworks, Cooking talents, donated items from businesses such as jewelry, furniture, gift cards, etc.

All U.S. contest entries must be submitted by March 25. The contest guidelines can be found online at www.familyrosary.org/tryprayer This contest invites families to light a candle and pray together, and then share this year's theme as a family reflection

Parish News
This Lent, let’s not focus on what we give up. Let’s focus on who God wants us to become. We can do that together if you join us for Dynamic Catholic's BEST LENT EVER. Beginning on Ash Wednesday and continuing through all 40 days of Lent, you will receive an email and short video from Matthew Kelly based on his book, I Heard God Laugh, to help you reflect and encourage you on your own personal journey throughout this Lenten season. The program is completely free and signing up is easy; just visit bestlentever.com, enter your name and email address, and you’re ready to go! If there are people in your life who you think would benefit from this program – whether friends, family or even acquaintances – we strongly encourage you to invite them to sign up as well. This is a wonderful program, and the only thing that could make it better is doing it with someone you love. Grab a Lenten journal in the Narthex after masses this weekend!

COVID-19 Response and Procedures
My Child is Ill. What Do I Do? Allergies or COVID? Stomach bug or COVID? It can be hard to decipher what ailment might be affecting your child. We have created some graphics and flowcharts to help you navigate what steps to take when your child or someone in your household is feeling unwell. Please report concerns or questions about illness to Mrs. Goldsworthy at principal@steugeneschool.org, and she will consult with our response team - Mrs. O'Connell and Mrs. Rischard. ALWAYS fill out and submit the Absentee Form (or call Ms. Patrick in the office), then notify your child’s homeroom/house teacher each day of absence.
Absences Please use the Absentee Form to report absences AND email your child’s teacher/house homeroom. It is important to communicate why your child is missing school with the teacher and document through the Google form. Please be meticulous in following directions if a child, household member, or close contact has recently tested positive for COVID or is awaiting results of a COVID test. NO ONE IN THE HOUSEHOLD MAY ENTER THE SCHOOL BUILDING if COVID exposure is positive OR in question. Mrs. Goldsworthy MUST clear your household for return to school in all cases where the possibility of COVID is involved. Please send illness updates to Mrs. Goldsworthy.
Screening Questions and Carpool Please remember to have your questions answered DAILY and results ready to show on your phone. Students should be masked, on the passenger side for temp checks, and ready to go as soon as carpool teacher opens the door. bit.ly/FamilyDailyQs
