You are officially in business. You are an entrepreneur and while you are in business for yourself you are not by yourself. We work together as a team to help make everyone stronger. As Jessica Herrin shares, "your new stylist investment would not even be enough for a manikin in a cute boutique". You are so much smarter as you just invested in a growing, soon to be billion dollar business. While our press is huge, we are simply tiny compared to the size we will be because of smart stylists just like you and irresistible product.

By now you have signed up as a new stylist, named your website and you likely have a long wish list of must have accessories. Our goal is to help you stay on course and work towards your goals and define your success. Make sure to take a look at the check list to follow and work with your sponsor and upline to help you get started. We are so excited to be your business partners.

I'm open for business! (FAQs)

Set up and Displays- You will find some great tips for your accessory display in SDU (Stella & Dot University, our online training school). Build out your collection as fast as possible and maximize your jumpstart benefits. I would highly suggest investing in Stella & Dot Displays and avoid shopping around for others. (Or earn them through my challenge for new stylists! See the other "incentive" email!) I have found that we have the best prices and the best looking displays. If you have to decide between jewelry or display pieces, pick jewelry and use a clean neutral table cloth and our cute boxes and signs to highlight your display. Your best display is her neck.

How many pieces do I need? A successful trunk show can have 7 pieces or 70 pieces. When you have fewer items your excitement and our beautiful look book are your best tools. Please let me know if you would like to borrow one of my loaner kits!

What to take to a show? You, your smile, jewelry with basic display pieces including a basic table cloth, mirror or two, alcohol swabs to clean earring posts before sharing, pens, calculator & camera on your phone, your iPad with Dottie (if you have one) and order forms and labeled brochures. The best displays are your hostess and guests. Get them wearing jewelry. You can also use our adorable boxes in your display to highlight a few pieces, and can also take pages from the look book and put them in pretty picture frames. We recommend only using S&D branded and available displays as they look the best and they are priced well.

Business Cards- Check out the links in Stylist Lounge under Your Business and Marketing. StellaDotPrintShop and Vistaprint have great options. Hot Tip- No need for address field so use that space for other wording such as "Host a Show, Earn Free Accessories!" or "We're Growing! Ask me about the Stylist Opportunity!" You can also use mini-look books with your label as business cards! Carry them everywhere with you!

LABEL EVERYTHING with your Personal Website (PWS).

Update your email signatures and social media accounts to show that you are open for business. I love MyESig for email You can use my link if you want: http://www.myesig.com/r.php?rc=DFBCBF You can also use the FREE Stella & Dot email signature! You can find this info in the lounge!

Create a "Who Do You Know List" and include everyone. They are all going to fit into your business as a Stylist, Hostess, Client or Referral Partner.

Stella & Dot University- Self teach and master the "Words to Say" while making them your own.

Stylist Guide To Success- Open up this magazine and use it. What a beautiful business plan!

Send out an "I'm OPEN" email to everyone you know. Example-
Feel free to use this for inspiration but make it your own. You want it to sound like your voice not hers and mine:) And I would challenge you to make it shorter:-)

I am so excited to tell you about my new venture with Stella and Dot. <Share a little about why you decided to become a rep> I would be honored to be your "go to" stylist of choice.

The perfect referrals for me are potential stylists/reps in the USA/CAN/UK/GER, trunk show hostesses, personal shopping appointments and referrals to my eBoutique.

As I value your opinion, I would be honored if you would preview my eBoutique and share any feedback. If you love it, would you consider sharing it with your friends and family?

I have to tell you it has been so fun and I am excited to grow my business with this company. The jewelry is simply irresistible and shared through trunk shows which create the ideal social shopping experience. Our press is huge with editor picks in many magazines including INSTYLE, WWD, O Magazine, Lucky and Vogue. The fashion industry is simply floored by our luxury line and great value. That's the benefit of sharing through trunk shows instead of in a retail department store. You will be delighted to find that 50% of the line is under $50 and the other half, we want to share that for free with our very best hostesses. Our designers are recognized as the darlings of the fashion industry and with almost a dozen working together, I get to share with you styles that are perfect for all occasions and we adore sharing great versatility with you. I just know you are going to adore the line as I have.

Let's chat soon! I'll catch you up on how to truly shop smarter and cuter. Doesn't that sound great?

If you are not familiar with Stella & Dot, please take a moment to browse my website: www.stelladot.com/---.

If you would like a catalog please let me know, I would be happy to drop one in the mail... they are gorgeous!!

I would love your opinion on your favorite pieces!!

Thanks again so much for your support!

Best use of 2-5 hours per week

Busy with life? Other job? Mommy-hood? I recently had a great convo about time mgmt w/ a stylist where we broke down how to spend 2-5 FOCUSED hours a week on your S&D business to earn $1k+ a month.

Sometimes we FEEL like we spend a lot of time on our business because
we're "thinking" about it all the time. Less thinking, more doing. We ALL have the same 24 hours in a day and choose how to spend our time. My hope is that for all Brand Ambassadors, this 2-5 hr a week breakdown will be helpful in your time mgmt. Please reach out to me at anytime to set up a coaching call- I'm happy to help create a specific plan for you to help you reach YOUR goals.

Here's the breakdown>>

***If you have NO trunk shows on your calendar that week***:

1. Watch the Buzz every Tues (5 mins)

2. Listen to "Tips from the Top" training call every Tues at 10a pacific
(calls are archived each week in SDU- listen to recording Tues night/Wed am if you can't make live, but listen EVERY week- #1 training call of week) (30 mins)

3. 1 hour Booking Blitz (with a pacing partner, your sponsor, upline, regional blitz) This is 1 hour of DEDICATED time to reach out to 20 people about booking EVERY week- once you have regular trunk shows, you can sharpen the skill of booking at shows and not have to blitz anymore, but UNTIL your calendar is where you want it, it's VITAL to spend 1 HOUR A WEEK on focused booking. Follow 3 steps of booking in "Stylist Guide to Success" magazine. If you struggle to book 1 in 10, send me a private msg I promise we can fix it with a coaching call. (30 minute warm up, 60 minute blitz= 90 mins)

TOTAL TIME>> 2 hrs a week. Focus is training & booking.
--------------------------------------------------------------

4. Trunk Show (3 hours total. 90 min to 2 hour show, drive time & entering orders) Focus on booking trunk shows AT trunk shows and soon you can eliminate the need to spend 1 hour a week on booking as you'll maximize your $$'s per hour by doing it AT the show. You can then spend that 1 hour a week on sponsoring if you choose to layer your income.

TOTAL TIME>> 5 hrs a week. Focus is STILL training & booking.
-----------------------------------------------------------

There are also Conf Calls w/ Home Office on Booking each week- I highly recommend attending 1 a week until you get your calendar where you want it. Then, even when your calendar is super full, the Tips from the Top call will still help you IMMENSELY when you listen each week. I NEVER miss a call.

OTHER TOP TIPS (1 hour)
1. Listen to Danielle's "Words to Say" CD over & over in your car while driving to & from work, school, etc.

2. Review pages 24-34 in the "Stylist Guide to Success" Magazine on booking. (30 min)

3. Review the "Monthly Success Plan" & "Words to Say for the current month (30 min)

Your group hello for trunk shows

Increase your sales and lead your trunk show with your group hello. I arrive and during set up I let our hostess know that I don't have a formal presentation, no clip boards or sitting for a presentation, but instead we are going to have fun socializing and styling. Our priority will be playing in the jewelry and I'll ask her to be my top model. Let her know that you will share some styling tips and best-selling items to the group. (This is usually done for a group but may be done with a few at a time.) Tell her you will give her a heads up and just need her to help with crowd control for a moment so that you can share. As guests arrive, I act as hostess, answering the door, welcoming them with introductions and asking how they know our hostess. I continue to ask questions about them and walk them in to get a beverage as I am writing their name on the look book and inviting them to style with the jewelry. It is important to let them know that I'll share my best sellers and style tips as everyone arrives within the next 30 minutes. Watch Danielle's group hello below!

Check out this great video and info in SDU on the group hello!
