A Weekly Look at Grant Elementary School & the Grant PTA

Week of November 19, 2019 (Early Release this Week)

Dear Grant Community,

I would like to take an opportunity to share how grateful I am to be the principal of Grant Elementary School. Not a day goes by where I am not present to the strength of our community, our commitment to students and boundless support of one another. I am so thankful to be a part of such a dedicated and capable group of educators at Grant and thankful for the opportunity to be with your students on campus each day. They bring a commitment to learning and growth to school every day that inspires us all. Thank you for being such an important part of our Grant community and I wish you and your families a wonderful holiday.

Ms. Grey

Our students give thanks...

Kindergarten Registration Opens December 2nd!

Believe it or not, it is already time to start registering new students for the 2020-2021 school year! Registration opens on December 2nd and priority registration ends on February 28, 2020.

Please visit to begin your application process.

If you or someone you know would like to go on a school tour at Grant, please call the front office at (707) 778-4742 to schedule one.

Emergency Kits Needed ASAP

If we learned anything in October, it's that we need to be prepared. Let's get moving on your child's emergency kit. Please put some food items that will hold up for a while (granola bars, beef jerky, apple sauce packets etc...along with a note to your child) in a zip lock back labeled with your child's name. Teachers are collecting these kits to keep in a designated spot in class - just in case. If you need the PTA to make a kit for your child, please reach out to Kelly

Grant Cares, Donation Drive Underway

The Grant Cares team is collecting gift cards in the office to help some of our Grant families that may find the upcoming holidays a financial struggle. To help ease the burden, they've placed a heart shaped box in the office for gift card donations. If you are in the position to help, they're looking for gift cards to Target, Chevron, Old Navy or Trader Joe's in small increments, like $20 to $25, so that they can spread your gifts out to different families. Thank you for your support.

Holiday Shoppe 12/10 –12/13

It’s almost time for the fabulous Grant Holiday Gift Shoppe! This year the Shoppe will be open Tuesday, December 10th through Friday, December 13th. It's a wonderful way for students to join in the holiday cheer by purchasing gifts for family and friends. Be sure to check your Friday folders for a shopping list, gift labels and a cash envelope.
