RETENTION CONSIDERATIONS:—Please see me ASAP if you have any students that are being considered for retention as the school system due day that Joyce needs to enter these is by 6/22. See me to schedule a time this week to meet on those students. I will then provide you an info sheet that will accompany your mCLASS, NKT, and work samples at the meeting.
SCHOOL NURSES CHANGING SCHOOLS: Amanda Armstrong, our school nurse will be switching to a new school next year. We thank her for her support and guidance for student medical needs. We wish her the best in her new school.
Welcome our new nurse, Jennifer Brooks. She likes to go by Jenn. She has been a pediatric nurse for many years and with School Based Public Health for 8. She is from a family of educators and originally went to school to be a teacher, so this really has been a great fit for her. In advance of our July 6 staff meeting she has sent links to the annual videos that staff need to view and sign off on. This information is being forwarded to you way in advance so that you can plot your best time to view the videos prior to our July 6 staff meeting. This will help minimize the time that Jenn Brooks, and several other nurses will need that day. Links for the required videos are listed below.
DO YOU HAVE SOME IDEAS FOR OUR PUE WEBSITE: Please take time to review our school website as we would like to update it in the next 2 weeks in preparation for the 2018-19 school year. Also, if you have ideas that would be beneficial for our site please let Annette ahymel@wcpss.net or Kayla kperry@wcpss.net ASAP so that they can consider and make the changes.
LOOKING AHEAD TO WEEK OF JULY 4TH, 2018-19 SCHOOL YEAR: Reminder of the following- Monday, July 2, optional teacher workday, Tuesday July 3, REQUIRED teacher workday, Wednesday, July 4th HOLIDAY, Thursday, July 5th is a REQUIRED teacher workday, and Friday, July 6th is a REQUIRED teacher workday.
