Pre-AP Math ~ Mrs. Justice, Ms. Gregg and Ms. Parker
This week we will begin a new unit over angles, triangles, and equations. Students will use the relationship between side lengths to determine when three lengths form a triangle, use the sum of angles in a triangle to find an unknown angle measure, and use the relationships between side lengths and angle measures in a triangle to solve problems.

This week we will begin our next unit over probability. Students will be making predictions and comparisons and determining solutions from experimental data.
Humanities ~ Mrs. Moore, Ms. Lindamood, Mrs. Strother and Ms. Peden
We are wrapping up European geography and will test on Wednesday, March 7, 2018. Students will begin working in literature circles with the World War II novels. Please be sure to bring novels and be prepared to read and share. Students are still working on building skills in reading expository texts.
The Water for South Sudan fundraiser contines. At this point, we have collected $500 for building wells to provide safe, clean drinking water for the people of South Sudan. Check out this site to follow our fundraising progress.
Global Business and Professional Communication ~ Ms. Tedford and Ms. Owen
We are continuing to learn about fair trade and how fair trade benefits communities around the world. On Wednesday, we are very excited to have the owner of Fair & Square Imports in McKinney, TX visiting us to share about what he is doing, and what we can do also, to support fair trade from right here in our own DFW community. Check out more about his store at the website here http://fairandsquareimports.com/ . On Thursday, we will have a quiz over our Unit 2/ Fair Trade Vocabulary.

Students will wrap up our one point perspective unit! We will also start our next unit focusing on digital art and animation.
Beginning Band ~ Mr. Sypert
Students have their concert music and are working on sections of each piece. Please help make sure they are practicing at least 10 minutes each day.
P.E. ~ Coach Dunson
Great work on our skills and various pickleball drills last week. We will conclude this unit with some match play this week before spring break.
