Summer Reading Express

BRINGING YOUR LIBRARY TO YOU!
Children who read during the summer don’t lose ground. They continue to build fluency and comprehension skills. The more children read, the better readers they become, and better readers are better learners. The purpose of The Reading Express is to ensure that every Klein student has access to library materials and programming throughout the summer. If the students cannot come to the library, we will take the library to them! Come visit the Reading Express this summer!

Student IDs and Lanyards

All Klein ISD Staff and students are required to wear an Identification Card (ID) while at a Klein ISD Campuses. Student safety and security is the utmost importance to us at Hildebrandt and IDs are vital in safeguarding your student and our campus. At Hildebrandt, students are required to wear the ID card on a lanyard around their neck so it can be easily visible. The lanyard must be the correct corresponding color for their grade.

Green for 6th graders, Red for 7th Graders and Black for 8th graders.

If they do not have their ID, the student will then be required to call their parent/guardian while a staff member supervises. They will inform the parent/guardian they do not have their ID. They will inform them of the option to either bring the ID to the school or pay $8.00 for a new one which has to be made.

ID Costs:

  • RFID Card: $5.00
  • Lanyard: $2.00
  • Sleeve: $1.00

Each time a new ID is created for a student, they can be subject to discipline consequences.

  • 1 Time: Warning
  • 2-3 Times: Before or After School Detention
  • 4+ Times: Saturday School
Please help us be in compliance and work with our Mustangs on being responsible for their required items.
