Big picture

Dear West TV families,

What a year this has been...having to suddenly move to Timberland School with ACMA in the fall, and then not being able to finish the school year this spring due to COVID-19...this will certainly be a year to remember!

Thank you to everyone who gave gifts to our West TV staff to show your appreciation of them - they warmed their hearts!

At this time, I do not have any information regarding next school year. The district is preparing for several possible scenarios for returning to school, based on direction and guidance from the Governor’s Office and the Oregon Department of Education. Possible scenarios include heading back to schools and classrooms with moderate social distancing requirements; a hybrid of classroom and remote learning instruction; or fully remote learning.

The district has convened an interdepartmental planning group to develop these scenarios. While the timeline for planning is very tight, the district will be providing opportunities for staff, parents, students and community to share their thoughts about how the district can best serve students and families in each scenario. You will receive more information from the district very soon.

Thank you for all of your support with remote learning and for being so understanding and patient as the staff figured out a whole new way of teaching. I wish you all a wonderful summer and will keep you updated about the upcoming school year.

Be safe and stay healthy!

Report Cards

Parents should be able to view their child’s report card in ParentVUE starting on June 18th at the latest (link to ParentVUE report card access instructions). When a school’s report cards are posted, IT will send out a SM notification to the parents.

If you ordered a yearbook and were unable to pick it up today, you can pick it up next week on Monday 6/15 between 9-11am.

There are still yearbooks available for sale - cost is $22.50 each (cash or check only).

If your family moves during the summer unexpectedly and you need to return a chromebook, please email Principal Valentine ( and she will arrange a time to meet you at the school.

Dreambox, Bookshelf & SeeSaw

DreamBox, Bookshelf, and SeeSaw and other programs students have been using this spring will remain open through the summer. They will be available for student usage up until about a week before next school year starts.

Supply Kit order due 6/14

Just like last year, families have the opportunity to order School Supply kits with the items that our West TV teachers would like each student to have next school year (the West TV teachers have selected the items for each kit).

If you'd like the convenience of ordering online your child's school supplies for next year, the website is up and running (until June 14th). School supplies will be bundled and shipped directly to school next fall and will be distributed to each student in time for the first day of classes. Efficient and economical!

Go to: and enter West TV's school ID WES632.

Please also consider purchasing a few "donation packs" to help us pay for 10 school supply kits for our West TV students in need.

Questions can be directed to Jami Keene, the parent who is coordinating this service:
