YOU put the "P" in PTO!

Getting involved in your child's education is an experience to remember! Whether it's volunteering at an event, helping at school during the day, or helping with things from home, your time and assistance are what puts the "P" in PTO! Our mission is to support and enrich the experience of our staff & students, but we operate solely on volunteers. Many hands make light work, and we happen to also have a lot of fun doing it! In this day and age of a multitude of commitments, we value any time you can offer in any way that you are able. Your kids will think it's pretty cool too! We hope that you will consider lending a hand to make the 2020-2021 school year amazing!

This is one of the largest fundraisers of the year and allows the PTO to purchase things such as spirit shirts (EVERY student and staff receives a FREE shirt!), yearbooks, library books & much more!

As a thank you for your support, every $25 donated will receive one awesome "Wildcat Strong" stainless steel straw tumbler (perfect for filling at school or at home!)! That means if you donate $50, you will receive 2 tumblers! For every $5+ donation will receive one awesome LSE Pawprint Magnet!

Due to restrictions, we are trying to move to an online-based system, so we encourage you to visit our "store" to donate (click on the button below the prizes)! Please be sure to list your child's name as well as their grade/teacher so we know which classroom to send home items with! If you are unable to join online, you may still send in a check/cash with the Membership Form included in the Welcome Packet that you received at Orientation (it's also uploaded in the "files" section of our Facebook page), please follow the instructions for checks on that form and return it to school with your student. The classroom with the highest participation (# of students that participate) will get to NAME THE MAIN HALLWAY of LSE for the year!

As of 10/1, Mrs. McMaster & Mrs. Calloway's classes are tied for the highest participation!!

While membership may be submitted at any time, only donations received before October 9th will be counted towards the class total (donations submitted after that date may not receive prizes if there are none remaining). If you are in-person, your Membership Items will be sent home with your students next week. If you are cyber/remote, drive-through pick-up is at LSE on 10/9 from 5-6pm.

We THANK YOU so much for your generosity & support and we look forward to an amazing year for ALL of our LSE students! 🐾💙🐾

Help to support our school and become a member today! Last day to join and get your magnet or water bottle is Friday, 10/9!

Each year, the PTO purchases a spirit shirt for every staff and student in the school. We are excited to share this year's shirt below! Please watch for a Google Form coming via email from your student's teacher, where you will be able to select an appropriate size for your child. Each teacher has a unique form, so please sure to complete the form for each of your students (from their respective teachers). Once all forms are returned, it will take a few weeks to receive our shirts back from the printer and to sort & distribute them.

We can't WAIT to see all of our LSE friends in their new shirts! They are PERFECT for our Wildcat Wednesdays! :)

GRADE-LEVEL VIRTUAL SCAVENGER HUNTS!! {Must Register in Advance to attend!}

Our Kindergarten Virtual Scavenger Hunt went so well that we are doing one for each grade! We hope that you can join us for our Scavenger Hunts via Zoom! Get ready to find some fun items in your house and see some friendly faces! Please make sure an adult is available to assist students with logging onto Zoom, muting etc.

For safety purposes, please note that you will need to REGISTER for this event ahead of time. When you do, the meeting info will be sent to you via email. Please do not share this with others, as we need to know who is attending and also want to maintain the privacy of our PTO Zoom events!

Additionally, please make sure that you only register your student for the specific event for their grade-level (each grade has a unique zoom link below). We are limited to the number of families that can register for each event and want to be sure that all of our friends have a spot!

Please see the photos below with the corresponding links to register for each grade. We can wait to see you all!

Click HERE to link your purchases at Weis to help support LSE! You will need to add our school code, which will link LSE to your Weis Club Card, and you'll be set! You may also participate by showing the barcode on the flyer below to the cashier at checkout.

Thank you for your continued support!

SCHOOL/CLASS DIRECTORY (You must enter your child for her/him to be included!)

Some of you have already registered on the website and signed your child(ren) up for the Class DIrectory... thank you! While we will not be using PTBOard as our information website this year, we will still utilize it for our LSE Classroom Directory!

First, you will need to register on the website. Once you are registered, you can add your student(s) and are able to change/correct your information at any time throughout the year. If you would like your child to be included in this resource, you will need to follow the steps below.

Once you've set up your account, please follow these steps:

1) From the Home Page, click on the tab on the left that says "Student Directory"

2) Click on "My Student"

3) Click on the GREEN "Add a Student" button on the right

4) Select your student's grade and teacher, and add his/her information

5) Click "Show in Directory", save and you're all set!

Once you've added each child, they will show up on the site and you can then download by class, grade or the whole school. If any of your contact information changes at any time, you simply go back into your account on the website and update your information.

Please remember that for privacy issues, all members who join hang out in the "pending" file until we have verified that they are a parent of a student that is registered at LSE. If your file doesn't show up immediately, it's b/c it's in the "pending" file and we will approve it as soon as we've confirmed that you do belong to LSE :) The safety of our families is very important to us.

Additionally, the Directory is optional. Should you choose not to include your students' information, that is totally fine as well! We hope that those who chose to utilize this tool find it an easy way to connect with friends and LSE families!

Register account (2020-21school code WYY38J), click "Student Directory", "My Student", green "Add a Student" & enter your child's info (do this for each child) You must check the box "Show in Directory" in order for the student to appear!

Just a friendly reminder that many PTO activities and events require volunteers to have their clearances on file with the district. Information and instructions for completing these requirements can be found here:

While volunteers are not currently permitted in the buildings, we are hopeful that this will change by the end of the school year. Taking care of this part now will allow you to help with school needs/events as soon as we are given the "green light"!

We very much appreciate all of the parents who have already submitted their clearances. Without parent volunteers, the PTO couldn't do all the great things we do for our school!

A note about our new newsletter format...

We have switched to an online-based newsletter format, which will allow you to easily access direct links to information and is more user-friendly. We hope that you find this streamlined format useful and easy to navigate.

In an effort to keep our content more relative, we are no longer including our Treasurer's Report. If you would like to view the Treasurer's Report for a specific month, please email and we will be happy to share that with you (pending approval at our bi-monthly PTO Meetings)
