All You Need to Know about VBS!

We are so excited that your child(ren) are enrolled in PCR's VBS! Here is some information about all that is going on next week.

Drop-off and Pick-up

Drop-off begins at 8:45 Monday morning. We will have a registration table set up by the lower parking lot and you can check your child(ren) in and they fun will begin immediately! Tuesday-Friday, we will have a carpool line option for drop-off.

Pick-up is at 12:30 each day. We will offer a carpool line option for pick-up. If you would like to join the fun, you are invited to the daily closing assemblies which begin at 12:00 in the Sanctuary.

Aftercare!

Aftercare is offered daily from 12:30 - 5:00 pm. Aftercare is offered for children, along with activities for youth. Our Aftercare leadership team includes certified camp and education leaders. We provide age appropriate games, activities and fun for children and youth. For children, the aftercare fee is $5.00 per day, per child. If you are unable to pay this amount, simply speak to a VBS leader and accommodations may be made. Youth will be helping out with the aftercare or helping out with VBS preparations. All aftercare participants must provide their own lunches. Pick-up from aftercare is no later than 5:00 pm. There is a $5.00 late fee for every half-hour after 5:00. Parents may use the after care for any number of days they wish. You may register your child or youth for after care by filling out the online registration form. Simply click on the button below.

DON'T FORGET! VBS Performance is Friday, June 19th!

As part of the VBS fun, we will be performing the musical, Dr. Newheart's Neck-Up Check-Up. It is important that all children and youth be there at 6:00 pm Friday. It is a joyful wrap-up for an amazing week! Invite friends, neighbors, grandparents and extended family for this incredible performance. Dinner is provided after the performance. Please RSVP so we know how many we will be feeding!

Youth Matters!

We are very excited to have so many youth participating in our VBS leadership. Our Youth workers are vitally important to the success of VBS! To show our gratitude to our youth, we are having a cook-out and pool party this Wednesday at Smyrna Presbyterian Church. To RSVP for this event, simply click on the RSVP option below. Transportation can be provided from PCR to the pool party, with prior arrangement and completed permission form.


We are also offering Summer of Service opportunities for the youth. These are opportunities in the coming weeks to share God's love with our community and make a difference in the world in which we live. Please make sure that we have e-mail addresses for youth and parents if you want to be included in the Summer of Service e-mails.


There are other fellowship and service opportunities for youth this summer and in the fall. We are asking all youth and youth parents to fill out a survey, which will be sent out electronically and by hard copy on Monday, to indicate interest and availability for these opportunities. Please take a moment and let us know what is important to you!

Sunday Morning Wrap-Up!

All VBS participants are invited to worship Sunday morning at 11:00 am. We will be performing songs from the musical as part of worship and sharing more about all the arts, crafts, games, skits and fun we had in the week! Mark your calendars now, to join us Sunday, June 21 at 11:00 am!
