Born around 570 B.C. in Samos, Greece. Spending a bunch of his childhood traveling all around the world with his father! Taught by Thales, Anaximander, & Anaximous. Known for the famous saying, "All things are numbers."

A Little About This Mathematician!

Without Pythagoras, who knows how our world would be like today? He invented the Pythagorean Theorum and discovered how the angle and points on a triangle meet! We wouldn't have learned any of that in school. Not only was he important to math, but he found out that numbers could be used in other things other than math. For example, he figured out that music involves numbers too. the intervals between notes and all the harmonies use numbers. Also, he came up with the "Harmony of Spheres" and how the planets make sounds when they are in orbit and that Venus is really just morning and night stars. Pythagoras was so brilliant that he had a prize named after himself called the "Pythagoras Prize" which of course, he won.
