A family that has been a lifelong resident in your school district/charter could be eligible for the Migrant Education Program. They might have children who work during the summer in order to help parents with the cost of living.

They may

  • Haul Hay
  • Hoe Peanuts
  • Work in the Dairy Industry
  • Pick Blueberries
  • Work in a Packing Plant
  • Work in a Meat Processing Plant
  • and many other agriculture jobs
