Feed the Teachers
It is the tradition of Paddock Road Community Club to organize dinner on the evenings of conferences to thank the teachers and staff who are staying late to meet with parents. We are once again partnering with B&G Tasty Foods to help subsidize the cost of these diners and still provide quality, yummy food! We count on parent volunteers to help round out the meals. Please see the link to sign up for food and drink donations. Your participation is greatly appreciated!

Key to Success For Your Children
The Key to Your Child’s Success
“Every parent wants to know the key to success that will help a son or daughter thrive in life, that “secret sauce” for raising a healthy child. Does such a sauce exist? The answer depends on your mindset as a parent and how you turn your mindset into practice with your children.” (http://www.rootsofaction.com/key-to-success-children/)
This helpful website article provides parents with links that offer support in how to increase their student’s success. The article includes 4 steps to success:
1. Teach the Growth Mindset Model. This means we are continually growing as people, our success and abilities are not fixed.
2. Emphasize Effort. Recognize the process, not the product.
3. Encourage altruistic behavior and provide opportunities to practice it.
4. Point out students impact on others when being helpful. Take a moment and look through the website to find support in how to better support your child’s success.
