March 5th Mrs. Blankenship & Mrs. Rungruang
Curriculum Update
Writing- We are in the final "bend" of our argument writing. The students have newly selected topics for research. Please take a moment to ask your child about his/her claim and arguments for the latest writing piece.
Social Studies- We are now fully immersed in our study of the Cold War. Using the Winter Olympics as a background, we are linking our learning to Korea.
Math - We will move into customary measures this week. Look for homework in their Math Workbook, Volume 2 this week as well. It will be over what is being taught in class, so your student should be able to complete their assignment independently.
Science - We are finishing up our unit on Earth science with the Seismology research. Please have your student show you the Connections Videos on their student portal. They will have the opportunity to go through them in class. Have them discuss these topics with you to further prepare them for the Earth Science test on Friday.
Georgia Milestones Dates.. Please avoid scheduling appointments during these testing times. Thank you!
