MAP TESTING Window - Monday, September 11th Through Friday, September 29th
The West Allis West Milwaukee School District (and many surrounding districts) use the NWEA MAP assessment as a measurement of current academic ability in Reading and Mathematics. It is not the sole measurement of student success, but is a resource that is used for teachers, students, families to support every student.
Additionally, Lane Intermediate uses MAP scores as a whole to create current and future performance goals. If you have any questions please contact your students teacher, counselor, or a member of the administrative team.
- 7th grade students will be testing the week of September 26th-29th
- 8th grade students will be testing the week of September 11th-15th
- Lane Global will be scheduling through during the testing window

Service Dog
Dear Parents/Guardians:
A service dog is a type of assistance dog specifically trained to help people who have a disability. This letter is to inform you that effective September 7, 2017 a service dog will be accompanying one of our students to school. The dog is an ADA certified service dog and districts’ are required to allow access and accommodations for service dogs. Your child may come into contact with the dog throughout the day, but it should not be a distraction to the learning environment. The dog has been well trained and is up to date on all appropriate vaccinations.
It is important that we consider the needs of all of our students regarding the service dog. If your child should have animal allergies or have an unusual fear of dogs, please contact part of the Lane Administration either Mr. Antholine (Students A-L) or Mrs. Kayzar (Student M-Z) at 414-329-6610 so that appropriate accommodations can be made for your child if needed.
Sincerely,
Lane Administrative Team
Mr. Antholine Mrs. Kayzar

8th Grade Update!
To the parents of Lane 8th grade scholars!
Hard to believe that our children are 8th graders already. With that being said we need to form a committee for the 8th grade graduation. If you are interested in being on the committee we will have our first meeting on Tuesday, September 19th following the PTA meeting. Please come with ideas to celebrate this great accomplishment for our children and also ideas to fundraise to give them a fabulous 8th grade celebration!
This committee is part of the Lane PTA and will have a report at every PTA meeting but we will hopefully only need to meet every other month. That will all be figured out on September 19th when we meet.
If you are interested in being part of the committee or have ideas but can not attend please email laneintermediatepta@gmail.com.
Thank you I wish you and your children a successful school year!
Dawn Petrovick
