Thursday, October 27, 2022: Bridging and Bonding: The Role of Teachers in Cultivating Citizenship
This conference will address the role of teachers in bridging political differences and bonding citizens together through the common cause of cultivating citizenship. Presentations will cover why civic relationships are so important, hands-on ways teachers can foster these relationships among students and families across political differences, and lesson plans for teaching these principles in the classroom. - Turn off all electronics i.e., TVs, computers, sound systems, projectors, document cameras, DVD players, printers, copiers, etc.
- Set thermostats to 55 degrees, or unoccupied, if in a portable or office
- Close window blinds
- Shut down all computer labs
- Do NOT shut off network switches or routers

Innovative Learning and Communications are joining forces, expanding the district Student Art Contest to invite students to share their voices through both visual art and film. Third grade students in Mrs. Lovell’s class at Edgemont Elementary School experienced deep learning through movement and Social Studies content.
