2023 came in like a firecracker!

January flew by and we are quickly speeding off into the new year! Spring is right around the corner, and we all know what that means!!!!! Spring Performance time!! We will be sending out a lot of information within the next 2 weeks to get us prepared for what's to come! If you're new to all of this, it will seem like a lot but, our teachers and staff are here to help you with anything you need... just keep popping in to check with your class teacher and the information board/window (in the lobby), and don't forget to read your emails. If you're a Pro, get out your glitter and eyelashes and let's help out to make it as phenomenal (and fun) as possible for everyone!

*Costumes have started arriving and important information will be available through emails and teachers at the end of each class. If you drop kids off, and they are picked up at the door, please be asking them to listen closely to teachers about necessities, and also be checking emails for important things happening this month, such as Program Ads, T-shirt pre-orders, Senior Bios and more !! If you don't believe you are receiving our emails, newletters and correspondences, please come see us at the front office. Please also be checking your parent portals and make sure that accounts are up to date. Costumes will not be ordered/given out unless accounts are current.

GJDC Year of Giving

Every year we collect items for those in need in our community. Currently, we are collecting canned/boxed good items for our Chesterfield Food Bank donation. Our large bin is located in the front lobby and any small and large donations are very much appreciated. We will have our donations dropped off at the end of this month for those in need. If you have any questions on what we can and can't take, please feel free to email our front office at DancinGJDC@aol.com.

New Year GJDC, Inc Students of the Month

We are so excited to announce our New Year/ January 2023 GJDC, Inc Students of the Month! Our teachers and staff put their heads together and came up with a great group of kids who have shown great work ethic, great attendance and always on time and prepared, kindness to their peers, and who were polite and respectful to their teachers. A few may have stepped out of their box or did an act of kindness when no one was watching (but they were caught!)..... We are so proud of them and hope that, in this crazy time, your kindness, love and positivity will spread, and stick around, like your favorite Glitter !!

It's the Month of LOVE !

We are so excited for Party "Hearty" Week again this year!! During the week of February 13-18th, we will be spreading and doing all things with LOVE! Fun songs and crafts, something special for parents/guardians, bring a friend to class opportunities, Heart Month and health info and so much more!!

Colonial Heights Christmas Parade Award Winner

Congratulations to GJDC for receiving 1st Place, Judges Choice in the 2022 Colonial Heights Christmas parade. Thank you to all of the students and families that participated and also donated for the after party. We had almost 200 people participate with us and brave the weather to show off our skills and smiles down the Boulevard! A BIG thank you to our Company Team moms for hand rhinestoning over 48 new parade costumes. We, unfortunately, could not wear them due to the weather, but we are looking forward to showing them off next season.

Huge shout out to Welton Motor Freight's Mike Welton for donating the use of his flatbed tractor trailer and for pulling our decorated float in the parade. Mike has been pulling our float for many, many years and we look forward to seeing him and his family every year. Another big thanks to our very own Charles Williams (Celeste) for the work on the car trailer and for pulling the second decorated float and our GJDC families in the parade. We appreciate you both so much!
