Corron Mission Statement

Corron is a safe, warm and inviting community where all are valued and empowered. We celebrate growth. Clear evidence highlights the impact we have academically, socially and emotionally.

Corron Parent Open House

Corron will host their 2021 Parent Open House on 9/13 and 9/20. We are asking that parents come in two separate shifts in order to alleviate crowding in the classroom (please use your child’s last name when determining your time). See below for the dates and times for your children’s classrooms.

Kindergarten: Monday, 9/13 5:00 - 5:20 (last names A-M); 5:30 - 5:50 (last names N-Z)

1st Grade: Monday, 9/13 6:00 - 6:20 (last names A-M); 6:30 - 6:50 (last names N-Z)

2nd Grade: Monday, 9/20 5:00 - 5:20 (last names A-M); 5:30 - 5:50 (last names N-Z)

3rd Grade: Monday, 9/20 6:00 - 6:20 (last names A-M); 6:30 - 6:50 (last names N-Z)

4th Grade: Monday, 9/20 6:00 - 6:20 (last names A-M); 6:30 - 6:50 (last names N-Z)

5th Grade: Monday, 9/20 5:00 - 5:20 (last names A-M); 5:30 - 5:50 (last names N-Z)

Parents will enter Corron through the exterior doors of their child’s classroom (KJC and KAB will come in through the main doors). Teachers will share their exterior door numbers prior to their grade level event.

We are so excited to show off our amazing school and showcase all of the learning (and fun) that students have engaged in so far. Teachers will be in the classrooms to greet parents during the event. There will not be any type of presentation - this is intended as a “meet and greet” and a chance to see your child’s classroom environment. Once you are done in the classroom you will be given a building map so you can take a peek at our other learning areas within the building (Art, Music, LRC, Empower, lunchroom). We will have staff members in the hallways to assist. After touring the school, parents can exit through the front main doors, Door 23 or Door 8. We ask that you not return to the classroom, as the next group of parents will be gathering.

This is a parents only event. Parents must wear a mask while in the school building.

In this practical and actionable talk, Debbie shares ten powerful “tilts,” a.k.a. practical ideas to help parents shift their thinking, responses, and actions in a way that will help them feel more confident and peaceful as they parent their unique children.

School always presents certain challenges for students who learn and think differently (kids with ADHD, dyslexia, giftedness, autism, anxiety, or other neuro-differences). But the COVID-19 pandemic has created even greater obstacles. Debbie shares ideas on how parents can best prioritize and plan in the pandemic-era school landscape. She also offers advice on how to support differently wired children’s cognitive, social, and emotional needs during this atypical time, while also taking care of one’s own emotional health and well-being.

If you are unable to join us live, don’t worry - the sessions will be recorded so you can watch another time. Additional information about Parent University can be found here on the D303 website.
