Think you can't afford Preschool? YES - You Can!!!
Does Preschool Make A Difference? YES - It Does!!!
From Kailey Lewis - There are so many benefits for attending preschool! Children learn more from their peers at this age than they do from their parents or other adults. Preschool rooms are designed for young children who are curious to learn. Toys and crafts in all WUS preschools are just right for the developmental level of 3 & 4 year old students in the program. In preschool, children learn how to listen to someone that isn't family, share, sit and listen to a story, but they are still able to wiggle, move, and be kids! The children also participate in group activities such as calendar time and "center" or small group activities. WUS preschool programs offer both full-day and half-day programs. They give kids the structure they thrive on but are not overly demanding. There are many great reasons for every family to send your child to preschool. Children develop their speech skills, fine motor skills, gross motor skills, cognitive skills, etc in preschool. Kindergarten readiness skills are fostered in preschool and help set children up for success later in school. All of the Wayland preschool programs work on story telling, imaginative play, problem solving skills, fine motor skills (i.e. handwriting, scissor skills), sensory integration, pre-math skills, social-emotional skills, self-help skills, phonemic awareness, among many, many others.
