A Note From the Principal:
Dear Bear Tavern Staff,
Happy Friday!
I am not a doctor, but I can cure , or at least alleviate your stress by prescribing one small activity:
There is no question that with our jobs we can feel frustrated, stressed and tired at times with the amount of energy, passion and effort that we put in each day.
So what's the prescription? Doing a ten minute pop in to a classroom during your planning or lunch. You don't have to write a thing down or hand anything in. I dare you to do it today! Once you pop in and see some great interacting and teaching, it is hard to get up and leave. I can all but guarantee that you will be more upbeat, motivated and happy when you are done. You'll probably learn something new, but you'll also gain motivation and brighten your mood!
I mean this in all sincerity - Sometimes as the principal, a portion of the day is spent dealing with stuff that is not fun. But one thing that lifts me up every single time is being in a classroom. We have so many unbelievable staff members and a lot of awesome activities going on throughout our school at any given time, not to mention some amazing kids. You'll only know about them if you break out of your routine and stop by for a handful of minutes. Give it a try and you'll be glad you did!
Thank you for all that you do each and every day and enjoy your weekend!
Sincerely,
Chris
