Deforestation is the process of which humans are cutting down our natural resource. Deforestation is considered to be one of the major factors to global climate change. Since people keep cutting down trees and forests, we are messing with the carbon cycle. Trees and forest balance the amount of Carbon in the atmosphere through the process of photosynthesis in which plants make their own food with carbon dioxide. Since there is no tree to take in the carbon dioxide, it goes into the atmosphere and it traps the heat and prevents it from leaving the earth surface in the atmosphere. If there is too much heat, it could causes Global Warming on the Earth. Floods could also happen. When it rains, trees absorb and store large amount of water with the help of their roots. When they are cut down, the flow of water is disrupted and leads to floods in some areas and droughts in other.

Some people don’t recycle because they are too lazy to recycle. Also some people just don’t care about the environment. People are also cutting down trees because they need room to breed cows and pigs. If people would stop eating cows and pigs then people wouldn’t cut down trees to make room form them. People won’t stop eating pigs and cows because it’s good to them. They won’t stop eating just to say the environment.

Deforestation Effects on Climate

video summary

This video was about how deforestation can affect the ecosystem. Cutting down trees can be done for may reason, including making way for other land uses like agriculture and also to harvest for wood resources. This is a problem that is happening all over the world. Some people doesn’t realize how much trees are being cut down to make these things. The problem is the rate of which we are cutting down the trees. We are cutting down 36 trees in a minute. Deforestation effects the carbon cycles. We can fix this problem is to change how we harvest trees. We should just cut down some trees and leave some alone.
