Spring Lake Park High School Seniors and Families
In less than two months, the Class of 2023 will be high school graduates! This week, we have a few updates for our seniors and their families. Find these updates and information on end-of-year senior activities and events at SpringLakeParkSchools.org/Graduation.
- Commencement: Our in-person commencement ceremony is Friday, June 9, at 7 p.m. at Roy Wilkins Auditorium in St. Paul. We’ll share more information as we get closer to the date.
- Yard signs: Once again, the Panther Foundation will be providing each member of the Class of 2023 with one free yard/window sign. We expect the signs to arrive in early May and will provide information on distribution in our next update.
- Decision Day – May 1: Decision Day celebrates the post-secondary plans of our graduating class. We ask students to wear gear representing their plans for next year – college, career, military, etc. on May 1. We’ll take each student’s photo and celebrate these important decisions with cupcakes during lunch.
- Senior survey - opens May 1: All seniors are asked to complete the senior survey in Naviance. It will open on Decision Day and be available through the end of the school year. This is how students request their FINAL transcript to be sent to their attending college/military. It is essential students complete this survey.
- Caps and gowns: Graduation caps and gowns will be available for pick up on May 18 during lunch periods in the Fine Arts Center. If you haven’t ordered a cap and gown, limited sizes will be available for purchase during this time. Honor tassels will be available for purchase for $5 and Honor cords and National Honor Society cords will be available for purchase for $10. You will be able to pay for these items through cash, check or credit card via square.
We look forward to the celebrations ahead. With the arrival of spring, watch for these updates every couple of weeks as we share evolving plans for recognizing and celebrating the Class of 2023.
