Sebastian River Times
November 2021
Dear SRMS Families,
As we step into the month of November, and ease away from some of the restrictions we have been faced with over the last twenty months, we are grateful to once again see the smiling faces of our students as they move through the halls excitedly chatting with friends and sharing laughs on the way to class.
We are grateful that we will begin to celebrate holiday activities with our students next month and invite parents onto campus for various events.
We are grateful to our teachers and staff for providing endless support to our students before, during, and after school hours.
And we are especially grateful to our families for entrusting us with their children every day.
Wishing you and your loved ones a joyous and gratitude-filled holiday!
Todd Racine, Principal

Month of Caring
Each month during the school year, as an IB-MYP school, we focus on one of the IB Learner Profile Traits. November is the month of Caring. One way we are promoting this learner profile trait is with a school-wide food drive. Students are encouraged to bring in food donations to their first period teachers. The first period teacher with most donations by the last day of November will get a donut party. Some good food items to donate:
- canned vegetables, beans, meats
- crackers
- pasta and sauce
- instant mashed potatoes
- granola bars
- peanut butter
- rice
- soup, stew, chili
- cereal
All food donations will be given to the Roseland Ecumenical Food Pantry.
