The MEGA:BITESS Academy is designed for secondary-and high school educators who teach courses and/or after school clubs related to STEM. These educators can be traditional classroom instructors (e.g., science, biology, chemistry, math, etc.) or non-traditional instructors (e.g., 4H, after school clubs, home school leaders, scout leaders). Thus far 15 educators from East Tennessee completed a year of training and then enrolled in a second year to become mentors. They teach across the sciences; some advice student STEM-related clubs.
