Principal's Corner
Speaking of spring weather, we're also on the brink of our annual Minnesota Comprehensive Assessments, or better known as the MCA's. Students in 3rd-6th grade will participate in both reading and math assessments. Fifth grade students also participate in a Science assessment. For us, it's a time of year that we're excited to see the growth students have made and use these assessment results to assist in goal setting and planning for the following year. Assessment dates are below.
April 16-17 Reading (3rd-6th Grade)
April 24-25 Math (3rd-6th Grade)
April 30 Science (5th Grade)
There are all kinds of exciting events taking place at Minnewaska yet this spring! We hope you take a look at the dates below and mark your calendar to join us!

Spring cleaning?! Don't put the boots and snowpants away yet! Yes, we know it's unlikely that we'll experience another event with significant flakes, however, snowpants and boots now have a different purpose. Our playgrounds are WET this time of year and we need your help keeping kids dry so they can learn through the day. As you can imagine, wet snowpants get very smelly this time of year, so we also need you to help us keep them washed every few days or weeks! We are in the home stretch, but for now, please continue to send students with them!
