THE INTERTIDAL ZONE & AREAS

Sebastian Crawford

What it is.

It is the area between the high tide and low tide mark. Organisms that live there have it rough. They have to deal with many different things like waves and they live in air and water. There is also a fear of predators.

What the environment is like.

It is in water and exposed to air. Waves effect the things living there and sunlight does also. It's very difficult for things to live there but they do.

The animals and plants

Small animals mostly live in this area. Most fish come during the hide tide which floods the bank and fish can go and eat things on the beach. The things that live there are crabs, algae, snails, and some plants.

How deep is it and the sun.

It is almost 50 meters deep and that is during high tide. The sun reaches all the way to the bottom of the tide.
