PCA Weekly News

Week of May 9th - May 14th

A Peek at the Week

Dinner Dance

We had an amazing time at our Beach Party! The gym was transformed into a beach scene with beach balls hanging everywhere and student artwork displayed on the walls. We had delicious food, great entertainment, and awesome raffle baskets. We danced the night away as we celebrated a successful school year with family and friends.

It was also wonderful to see many of our PPO past presidents in attendance. They were honored and recognized with a special plague which will be put on display.

A special thank you to our PPO who worked endlessly to prepare for the event. Your hard work and dedication to our school is greatly appreciated. Congratulations on a very successful dinner dance.

Thank you to all the families who attended and for donating your time and talents to make this such a memorable evening.

Law Day Essay

Our 4th/5th Grade students took part in the Hellenic Bar Association's Law Day Competition this year. The winning essays were read on May 12th in Judge Kocoras' courtroom at the Federal Courthouse. Congratulations to Jimmy and Yiana for writing the winning essays. It was a very difficult decision as all of our students wrote exceptional essays. We are extremely proud of our students and their teacher, Mrs. Aleka, for all of their hard work and for representing PCA.

Following the presentation of the essays, we were all invited into Judge Kocoras' chambers and then a reception at the Chicago Bar Association. This was a day our students and their families will always remember. This was an incredible opportunity for our school and our students. We can't wait until next year's Law Day Essay Competition.
