After School Clubs

Most dismiss from the front door of the school. Please pull to the front and remain in your car, leaving room for other cars to pass by to depart. The Math & Science Quiz Bowl group is the exception and will dismiss from the rear wing door by the softball field.

Determining Safety of Playing Outdoors in Warm Conditions
Oh, how we hate to cancel outdoor breaks. While we all feel these breaks are highly beneficial for our emotional and mental wellbeing, we must put our physical safety first. We use the WBGT chart below to determine if it is safe to play outdoors. On days when the weather does not allow us to do so, students have a 10-15 minute unstructured break indoors. Let's all hope the humidity decreases soon.
The wet-bulb globe temperature (WBGT) is a type of apparent temperature used to estimate the effect of temperature, humidity, wind speed (wind chill), and visible and infrared radiation (usually sunlight) on humans. It is used by industrial hygienists, athletes, and the military to determine appropriate exposure levels to high temperatures.
