Put Your Best Face Forward
Face Forward has been at the fore front in the battle to save women and children from abusive relationships, marriages and neighborhoods for a long time now. There are so many people who have benefitted from the services offered by Face Forward, and as a non-profit organization it is our pride to see the smiles on the faces of young children and their mothers when they can start a new life and be happy again.
In order to help the victims overcome the challenges that have caused them so much pain we have a fully qualified team of professionals who handle the cases we get with the urgency that they deserve. We have worked with a number of partners in as far as championing for the rights of the underprivileged is concerned and because of this we keep advancing our cause over the years.
There are so many forms of victimization through which women and children are tortured, and all of these happen unfortunately in the places where they are supposed to feel most safe. A lot of the victims are battered at home by their fathers and husbands while some of them are victims of gang violence. Women and children have been raped, beaten, maimed and some have unfortunately lost their lives in the process. As a society, we cannot sit and wait for a whole generation to accept violence as the norm because we will have killed any peace that might have prevailed in the future.
Violence in all forms and means has to be spoken against and shunned from society. When someone has to spend more than $5000 on treatment alone as a result of domestic violence, it leaves a lot to be desired, not just of the individual who inflicted the pain, but also of the society that allows this to happen. The situation is so bad that in some countries it is considered normal for a man to sell his daughter at a young age to be married. When did we all become this insane? This is barbaric to say the least.
What Face Forward has been able to do so far is to literally allow the victims the chance to start their lives afresh, get a new life and forget about the pain from years past. Reconstructing a new life is not an easy task, and this is why we provide the victims all the support that they require.
