5th SESSION - Developing learners' reading skills
In this Teacher Activity Group Session, we will:
- discuss what we read and why we and our learners read outside the classroom
- discuss what type of texts learners need to read in the classroom
- identify effective reading strategies
- discuss effective pre-reading (priming) activities
- discuss which activities most effectively develop learners' skills
- practise designing a reading activity for a short story
- choose a reading activity to use in your own classroom after this TAG session
