Thank you
Thank you!
Dear Parents,
Our school year has come to an end and its time to say goodbye. I’ve made many wonderful memories with your child over the course of the year. These memories range from all our wonderful field trips, to their constant inquiries and hard work in the classroom, to our holiday parties and special classroom activities.
I want to thank you for your help and support over the year. I have truly appreciated your willingness to support what we do in the classroom, through volunteering your time, sending in supplies, and chaperoning field trips. All our activities and field trips in fourth grade would never have been possible without your help.
Please remember it is so important to encourage your child to read over the summer. Research shows that students often fall back 1 to 3 reading levels over the summer break.
It is also important that students continue working on multiplication and division facts. Take some time out of your summer activities to practice flash cards with your child. It is very important your child know his/her math facts going into the 5th grade.
I’ve watched your children grow, learn and make great discoveries over the course of the year. I hope that all the things we have done have helped in some small way. I have great expectations for your child in the coming year and in the future. My goal as a teacher is to create a life long learner, someone who always wants to know more and has questions. This was definitely a very inquisitive class and I loved it. Keep your child’s curiosity piqued over the summer.
Have a wonderful summer and thank you again for all your support.
Sincerely,
Annalisa Kilar
