Sherwood Schools: District Updates
November 18, 2021

COVID-19 Case Response During Break
With both school offices and our Health Services Department closed next week during the holiday break, contact tracing of student COVID-19 cases will not occur November 22-26 while students are out of school. If your student receives a positive test result or develops illness symptoms during the holiday break, please keep them home from school on Monday, November 29 and contact your school office that morning for further assistance.
Vaccination Clinic for Ages 5-11
Based on parent feedback, our district is pleased to offer a convenient option for your child to get the COVID-19 vaccine. Sherwood School District will be partnering with Providence Health and Services to host a voluntary COVID-19 vaccination clinic for children ages 5 to 11 years old. Sign up is required (see links below). Space is limited, and available on a first-come, first-served basis.
The vaccination clinic will be held at the District Office. Please park in the lot near the tennis courts and follow the signage to the exterior entrance to the Board Room.

Sherwood Education Foundation's "Clicking for Kids"
The Sherwood Education Foundation (SEF) was formed to enrich and enhance the quality of education in the Sherwood School District by distributing funds through grants to individual teachers, and by funding programs that support the district’s vision for educational excellence. Because of community support, in the last five years alone SEF has awarded 98 teacher grants totaling over $220,000. Whether it's Sensory Paths, Ozbot Evo Robots, Spanish Fiction Books, a Forensic Microscope, or Drumline Replacement for the High School Marching Band, Sherwood Education Foundation is committed to being there for our teachers and their students.
Like many things this year, Sherwood Education Foundation's annual fundraiser Calling for Kids is going to look a little different. While it's the same great non-profit you know and trust with the same worthy recipients, Calling for Kids is now Clicking for Kids! The Sherwood Education Foundation’s continued success is only made possible with your support! 100 % of your donation goes directly back to funding teacher grants at all grade levels.
Please partner with Sherwood Education Foundation and donate today!
