WATCH D.O.G.S.® (Dads Of Great Students)

All dads are invited to attend the kick-off event for this great program that will be implemented at HES this year on November 3rd, from 6-7 p.m. More information and who to contact is in the article below.

What is PAWS? Pride * Attitude * Wise Choices * Self-Control

This August, the HES staff worked to revamp and revise the PAWS system of core beliefs, values, and expectations for students and staff. During Curriculum Night, you had an opportunity to hear about PAWS, which is based on the principles of Positive Behavioral Interventions & Supports, or PBIS. The PAWS matrix is the result of the hard work and input from our campus staff. The kiddos have been practicing, practicing, practicing to earn PAWS bucks by showing Pride, having a great Attitude, making Wise Choices and showing great Self-Control in all areas of our building. Look for special PAWS notes to come home, letting you know when your child has done a great job of showing PAWS!

How can parents be involved? Ask your child how they showed PAWS during the school day. They will be able to tell you all about it!

Welcome Lorie Gregurek

Please join us in welcoming Mrs. Lorie Gregurek to our Hamilton staff. She will serve as the Assistant Principal for Pre-K, PPCD, 1st, 4th and 5th grades.

Mrs. Gregurek has served as a teacher and Instructional Specialist at Ault Elementary for the last 14 years. She graduated from Sam Houston State University. So far, her favorite thing about Hamilton is the sense of family and community that exists the moment you walk through the doors of HES. She is excited to get to know each of your Lions.
