TECH TIP OF THE WEEK
Google Docs is a powerful word processing program with many unique features including voice typing, the Explore tool, Version History, web fonts, and much more. However, Google knows that even with all of those features, Docs may not be able to do everything you want it to do. So Google Docs allows you to install Add-ons to extend the capabilities of the program.
Add-ons are third-party tools that provide extra features for Docs. Click HERE for 20 awesome add-ons to Google Docs.
Words of Wisdom
Nine tenths of education is encouragement.
~ Anatole France
Someone once wrote, "She believed she could, so she did." Seems so simple. If someone says they believe you can do something (and you accept that encouragement), then surely you can do it, right? Conversely, if you are told you'll never do it (and you believe that), you may give up before even trying. That's the power of words. A few words can make such an impact. Ironically, it's not always easy to give or receive encouragement when we need it most. So, it's important to be an encouraging voice at all times, whether we feel inspired or feel discouraged. Giving and receiving encouragement is a big part of our own success and the success of our students.
With something to think about . . .
Remember to take care of yourself.
Just like other forms of praise, encouraging others is a good way to pump yourself up also. Don't be shy about cheering others on. You will all reap the rewards.
Happy Birthday!
