A Message from Principal Choquette 10/27/17

Good afternoon! We had a good week of parent teacher conferences. I know the half days can be tough on families and on the kids, but it is an important time for families to connect with the teachers. If you were unable to meet with your teacher, please contact them to see if there is a time for you to connect.

The read-a-thon is up and going....please encourage your children to read, read, read. The read-a-thon started on October 16th and it is never too late to start. It ends on November 5th and if you want your principal to show up with BLUE hair, ALL classrooms need to meet their goal!

Picture retake day is November 16th. If your child missed picture day, they will have a chance to do it on the 16th.

As the temperatures get cooler, please dress your children in layers. The mornings are quite cool.

Also, we have many students who are going t othe nurse for snack. Some students we are finding are actually "hiding" their snack from home so they can go get a snack from the nurse instead. If you are able to provide snack for your child, please talk to them about not going to the nurse for snack. If you are unable to provide snack, we will be happy to help you.

I hope you all have a wonderful weekend.

Halloween can be an exciting time for our children. It is also a holiday that not everyone celebrates. We ask that if your child plans to dress up for school that there are absolutely NO masks, weapons, or blood. We have very young children in our school and many of these costumes can be scary for them. Thank you for your cooperation.

Walking School Bus

Don't forget to sign up for the walking school bus on the Bridge Street PTO website ( If you are interested in being a "driver" you can also sign up on the PTO website. Thank you!

Lost and Found

We are starting to look like a department store. If your children are missing sweatshirts, shirts, water bottles, shoes, and lunch boxes, chances are they are in the lost and found. Please visit the lost and found outside of the cafeteria to claim your lost items!
