Teacher Requests for 2018-2019
1. Requests must be made through this Google Form- https://goo.gl/forms/2FfdVH7WgsIHc7rI2
Please click on the link and complete the 3 questions to make your teacher request.
2. NO requests will be honored unless they have the 4th question answered regarding "reasoning for the request".
3. Requests will only be accepted during a 2 week period - March 9 - March 23rd. It is too difficult to create class lists with requests coming in through June. (The only exception to this will be for students enrolling after this 2 week period).
4. While we do our best to honor requests, there is no guarantee.
Thank you for your understanding!

*Please note: you will need your $200 deposit as well as the $35 supply fee with you when you register. Checks will be held until after May 1st. If you qualify for free tuition with the required paperwork or are placed on the waiting list, your deposit/check will be returned.
*Students must turn 3 on or before August 1st, 2018, and be completely potty trained (unless on an IEP), to attend preschool. Also, 3 year olds may ONLY attend 2 or 3 days per week and are not eligible to attend more days.
Phone Number Changes
If your phone number has changed and needs to be updated in our system PLEASE call the office with that information. There have been many recent issues where we do not have the right number or it has been disconnected when trying to contact a students parent or guardian. It is crucial that we have a working number in the event of an emergency.
A Note from the School Nurse:
This year we have the following over the counter medications listed on the enclosed document stocked in each office. Please fill out the form and return to school with your child. We are hoping to cut back on parents needing to bring medication in and/or prevent sending students home. Hopefully this makes it easier on parents, teachers and staff.
Several students have been bringing cough drops with them to school without a note. Students may not take these without written permission from a parent/guardian. We have this listed on the form as well.
As always if you have any questions please feel free to call me at 419-823-4381 ext. 4002.

It was so much fun to see our students and staff participate in the daily dress up themes this week. I very much enjoyed learning what our students would like to be when they grow up! I know that with their hard work, our children can reach their dreams. With the first week of Pennies for Patients complete, we are off to a great start! Thank you all for your support and encouragement. Recently one of our Otsego families experienced the loss of their father, who had been diagnosed with Lymphoma. This year, in addition to raising money for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society a portion of the funds raised this month will be given to our Otsego family. If you would like to make a contribution specifically to this family, please send your donation to the office in a sealed bag or envelope with the label “Otsego family donation.” Thank you all for your support of our families and our efforts to give back, not just now but throughout the year.
As a reminder, this year we have the additional option of raising money through personal or classroom webpages. You can help your student create their own webpage, if you would like, by going to: http://events.lls.org/pages/noh/OtsegoElementarySchool-2018
At the bottom of the page there is an option that says “Get Involved- Students/Parents”. You then have the option to join our school team by following the prompts.
Our Spring Groups will be starting with in the next few weeks. If you are interested in having your student participate in a small group with myself and/or the interning counselors, please contact me via email. Again, be on the lookout for more group information to come.
Finally, we are starting our Career Cafes this spring. If you are a parent that owns a restaurant or bakery, or is a lawyer, please contact Miss Syrowski if you would like to come in and speak with our third through fifth grade students. Thank you all for your help and dedication to our students. Have a great weekend. Also, don't forget to check out the counseling website at: http://oesknightscounselor.weebly.com/

SAVE ALUMINUM CAN TABS
Please help our students by collecting tabs from aluminum cans. Each tab is easy to remove and can be donated to the Ronald McDonald House. The tabs help fund various projects for Ronald McDonald Houses and its visitors. Send the tabs in a bag to the school and our students will do the rest!
SAVE BOX TOPS
You can help the school earn money for supplies by collecting Box Tops. Our PTO collects and counts them and puts the money straight back into the school. (We earn 10 cents per Box Top). If you are able to collect a lot of these, it would be great if you could turn them in in groups of 50, but we will take them even if they are not grouped together.
