It's that time again... FIELD TRIPS ARE BACK!
Have you ever been to the Barnes? Have you ever been to the Barnes with Ruth Ost?
If the answer to either of those two questions is no, then you should jump on this opportunity!
This field trip was such a big hit in the past, we've decided to do it again! Join your Honors friends for a tour (our docent is none other than Dr. Ost herself) and get a peek at one of the finest collections of impressionist, post-impressionist, and early modern paintings in existence. Don’t know much about the Barnes? This is the best way to find out!
We will meet in the Honors Lounge at 1:15 pm and embark for the subway once we've got everyone checked in. We MUST leave no later than 1:30 pm. We will have about a 20-minute walk from the subway to the Barnes, so wear your walking shoes! Our tour will start at 2:30 pm. You will be provided with round-trip subway fare and entrance to the Barnes FOR $5! Be sure to bring your student ID, as this is what will gain you discounted access. Space is very limited (only 10 spots!), so be sure to RSVP ASAP!
You can pay via PayPal here - or pay with cash in the Honors Lounge!
Questions? Concerns? Contact Jackie at JVO@temple.edu.
We hope you can make it!

Beyond Your Classroom Experience: Mindful Eating
Every Wednesday, 1-2 PM
Honors Lounge
Decompress between classes with a student-led Mindful Eating exercise. Mindfulness teaches us to be present in the moment, noticing our senses and emotions. Practice mindfulness for a few minutes in a comfortable, relaxing environment with other Honors students this week. Small snacks will be provided for the activity. This event is part of the Beyond Your Classroom Experience series, a new initiative to supplement your academic coursework through weekly self-development and self-care programs.
NEXT WEEK: WELLNESS RESOURCE CENTER
Join the Wellness Resource Center next week for a conversation about mental health and the stigma surrounding it. We will discuss how to support friends who may be struggling with their mental health, as well as ways that we can be advocates for mental wellbeing and combat the stigma.
